Management Team

  • Scott A. Michelsen  Managing Member
  •     Born in ChicagoIllinois, Scott Michelsen is a veteran retailer of over 24 years. He cut his teeth out of school selling encyclopedias door to door. He entered the retail business world in 1985 taking his first job selling mattresses for a sleep shop in Chicago. Working his way up the ladder, he became that companies’ Senior Regional manager and helped the company grow from 4 to 55 stores. 
  • Like many entrepreneurs, he became hungry to do the work for himself. With two partners, they together launched their own sleep shop that has grown to 90+ stores in four states and is a market leader in the industry. He is a self described promoter of selling as a lost art in business today.
  • Scott has a supreme knowledge of sales and a unique ability to impart this knowledge to those with whom he works. Scott also delivers this knowledge with an unparalleled energy and enthusiasm. He has a well rounded insight into all of the areas of a successful operation and has enjoyed the opportunity to work and partner with many great wholesalers as well.

  • Scott has held the positions of Retail Sales Distributor, Supply Chain Broker and field Training Rep, Retail Sales Trainer and Management Trainer, as an Operations Manager, a SR Regional Manager, a managing Member of a 100+ store chain and now as an International Sales Training Consultant and Dynamic Speaker.  His qualifications in this field are endless and his reputation is impeccable.

He has an ability to view the marketplace with a perspective that recognizes opportunity and blazes a path to success, as well as identifying outdated, current and future trends through tireless personal and market research.

"Marketing, Merchandising, Sales, Distribution and Customer service should all be in support of one another and in keeping with the spirit of a winning team. That understanding of organizational dynamics and how it relates to a sales cycle is the foundation of how I build a winning culture."
